Eagles Decline the 2020 Option for Linebacker Nigel Bradham
The Eagles made a roster move on Tuesday that could come as a bit of a surprise to many, as the team declined the 2020 option for linebacker Nigel Bradham.
The eight-year veteran has spent the last four seasons with the Eagles.
The move to not bring Bradham back makes him a free agent once the new league season begins on March 18th. The linebacker recorded 348 tackles, 5.0 sacks, 22 passes defended, two interceptions and three forced fumbles in his four seasons, playing 58 of 64 games.
Bradham inked a huge a five-year, $40 million extension back in 2018, but the team had options on the final three years of the contract.
Not bringing back the 30-year-old linebacker will save the team nearly $10 million in cap space this offseason that can be used elsewhere.
