One of the Atlanta Falcons’ budding star players is dealing with a minor injury issue.

Second year wide receiver Calvin Ridley tweaked his right hamstring in the team’s Thursday morning practice and required some attention from trainers.

Ridley walked off the field after one of his reps and was stretched out by members of the Falcons’ conditioning staff. A few minutes later, he was able to come back onto the practice field and ran a slant route, but then left the field again for attention.

Head coach Dan Quinn said that Ridley was dealing with a tight hamstring, but that the receiver should be able to go for their next four day set of practices starting on Saturday.

The Falcons’ No. 26 overall draft pick in 2018, Ridley quickly emerged as a viable receiving threat in the team’s offensive game plan, tying a franchise rookie record with 10 touchdowns.

Ridley scored his first NFL touchdown in his second appearance for Atlanta in a win over division rival Carolina and the following week turned heads by scoring three touchdowns off seven catches for 146 yards in his first game against arch rival New Orleans.

The next week, against Cincinnati, Ridley scored another two touchdowns, amassing what was at the time an NFL high six scoring catches, setting a league record for a rookie in his first four contests.
